Football great, Minnesota Supreme Court judge to commemorate Martin Luther King Jr. Day at the University of Chicago Medical Center

The University of Chicago Medical Center will celebrate Martin Luther King's birthday by announcing the recipient of the 31st annual Martin Luther King, Jr., Humanitarian Award. The award recognizes the employee who best exemplifies King's commitment to fellowship, peace and justice through commitment to excellence in the workplace and community.

Who

Alan C. Page, the first African-American judge to serve on the Minnesota Supreme Court, will deliver the keynote address. In 1988, the National Football League inducted Page, a defenseman for the Minnesota Vikings, into its Hall of Fame. In 1993, Page became associate justice of the Minnesota Supreme Court.
