What

The University of Chicago Cancer Research Foundation Women's Board is honoring Katie Couric, anchor of the CBS Evening News, for her tireless efforts in the crusade for early detection and cancer awareness. The board will present its Partners in Discovery award to Couric at its 43rd Annual Cancer Ball, Saturday, November 14.

Who

Founded in 1947, the University of Chicago Cancer Research Foundation Women's Board raises funds to support basic cancer biology research at the University of Chicago Cancer Research Center. Every year, the 70-plus board members make significant contributions to this comprehensive cancer center. These funds have helped to bring new scientists to the university and support their research activities.

Saturday, November 14
