Spring Flours Annual Benefit to support the Celiac Disease Center

On May 16, 2014, the University of Chicago Celiac Disease Center is hosting the annual Spring Flours gluten-free benefit. The event will feature more than 25 gluten-free tasting stations hosted by some of Chicago's best chefs and bakers, a live auction and a restaurant gift card sale.

Spring Flours is the center's major fundraiser of the year, designed to raise money to support ongoing research and treatment for patients with celiac disease.

"We are delighted to bring together the best gluten-free chefs and bakers to provide a care-free evening of food, freedom and fundraising," said Carol Shilson, Executive Director of the University of Chicago Celiac Disease Center. "Those living with celiac disease can't often relax when dining out. Spring Flours makes it deliciously possible to do so. The goal of the evening is to raise funds for our important work, most notably finding a cure, but it is also gratifying to see genuine enjoyment on the faces of attendees."

The event starts at 6 pm at the Sheraton Chicago Hotel and Towers, 301 E. North Water St., Chicago. Tickets are on sale now at cureceliacdisease.org for $175 each; a reserved table of 10 is $2,000.
