Dr. Avery Tung is a specialist in anesthesia and intenstive care medicine. Currently, he is the director of critical care services for the University of Chicago Burn and Complex Wound Center--a multidisciplinary program dedicated to treating patients with severe burns.

Dr. Tung's research interests include factors affecting physician decision-making, clinical topics in critical care medicine, and effects of sedatives and anesthesia on the regulation of naturally occurring sleep.
