Gregory Bales, MD, is an expert in female urology and reconstructive surgery. He specializes in pubovaginal sling surgery for female stress incontinence and vaginal surgery for pelvic organ prolapse. He also is an expert in artificial urinary sphincter/male sling for post-prostatectomy male incontinence, as well as urethroplasty for urethral stricture disease. Dr. Bales is a member of the Center for Pelvic Health care team. He was recently named one of the city’s best doctors for treating women by Chicago magazine.

After undergoing a laparoscopic partial hysterectomy at another hospital, Bonnie Fulgham was blindsided by resulting complications, including two vaginal fistulas. Learn how Dr. Bales partnered with colleagues in the Center for Pelvic Health to help Fulgham achieve the best possible recovery.
