Heber MacMahon, MB, BChProfessor of RadiologySection Chief, Thoracic RadiologyHeber MacMahon is a specialist in thoracic radiology—the imaging of diseases of the lungs. He is skilled in interpretation of chest radiographs and CT scans. As a leader in the University of Chicago Comprehensive Cancer Center's Advanced Imaging program, Dr. MacMahon coordinates the basic and clinical research of many investigators in several disciplines who are focused on transforming cancer care through advanced imaging. Dr. MacMahon has lectured on advances in thoracic radiology, such as digital imaging and computer-aided diagnosis, at many national and international meetings. He has authored close to 200 articles in scientific and medical journals and 35 book chapters.
