He was one of the first doctors in the United States to perform minimally invasive stent graft repair of an abdominal aortic aneurysm. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Bassiouny is the editor of a book on atherosclerosis imaging, as well as the author of more than 20 book chapters about vascular medicine and 60 peer reviewed articles in vascular surgery, medicine, and atherosclerosis.
