Jeanne DeCara, MD

Associate Professor of Medicine

Jeanne DeCara, MD, is a general cardiologist who treats patients with coronary artery disease, heart failure, heart valve problems, abnormal stress tests, hypertension and hypercholesterolemia. She has a particular interest in diagnosing and treating heart disorders among patients receiving or about to receive chemotherapy, as well as those with heart valve disorders. In addition, Dr. DeCara has special expertise in noninvasive imaging techniques for the diagnosis and prognosis of patients with heart disease.

Her current research explores the association between cardiac imaging and genetics in identifying patients at risk for cardiovascular disease.
