Jerrold R. Turner, MD, PhDSara and Harold Lincoln ThompsonProfessor of PathologyDr. Jerrold Turner's primary clinical expertise is in the area of gastrointestinal pathology. His research interests include defining the causes of inflammatory bowel disease and its complications and discovery of novel therapeutic approaches. Dr. Turner's research is funded by the National Institutes of Health, the Eli and Edythe Broad Foundation, and the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America. A respected lecturer, Dr. Turner is regularly invited to speak at and organize national and international conferences. He has authored more than 200 original articles and book chapters. Dr. Turner currently serves as associate editor of Gastroenterology, and as an editorial board member for several journals, including: American Journal of Pathology; the Journal of Biological Chemistry; American Journal of Physiology--Gastrointestinal and Liver Physiology; and Laboratory Investigation.
