Jonathan D. Rich, MD

Assistant Professor of Medicine

Jonathan D. Rich, MD, is a highly skilled cardiologist who specializes in the clinical care of patients with heart failure, including those who have pulmonary hypertension, ventricular assist devices (VADs), and those receiving heart transplants. In addition to caring for patients in the hospital and in the office setting, he spends a considerable amount of time performing invasive procedures in the cardiac catheterization laboratory, evaluating cardiac hemodynamics, and performing endomyocardial biopsies.

Also an active clinical researcher, Dr. Rich is currently engaged in numerous studies investigating better ways to diagnose and treat complex conditions in patients with heart failure, pulmonary hypertension, and VADs. Additionally, he participates in and conducts single center and multi-center clinical trials in heart failure and pulmonary hypertension.
