Salama, MD, is an expert in radiation therapy for treating cancers of the lung, esophagus, head and neck, and metastatic cancers. Dr. Salama has expertise in a number of advanced radiotherapy planning techniques including intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), a type of radiation therapy that adjusts radiation beam intensity while contouring the beam to the tumor's shape so that nearby healthy tissue is not affected during treatment. Additionally, Dr. Salama has a special interest in using stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) to help patients with metastatic cancers.
