Kirk T. Spencer, MD, is a cardiologist and expert in echocardiography, the evaluation of heart function using sound waves. In addition to echocardiography, Dr. Spencer's clinical interests include cardiac MRI, cardiac stress testing and congestive heart failure. Dr. Spencer has participated in several important clinical research studies and continues to search for new and better echocardiographic testing methods. A prolific author, Dr. Spencer has written numerous journal articles, abstracts and book chapters on echocardiography and other cardiac topics.
