Kirti Kulkarni, MDAssistant Professor of RadiologyRadiologist Kirti Kulkarni, MD, specializes in breast and abdominal imaging. Dr. Kulkarni provides comprehensive screening, diagnostic and interventional procedures for breast health. Additionally, she offers diagnostic imaging and interventional services for patients with abdominal and pelvic disorders. In her research studies, Dr. Kulkarni investigates dynamic contrast-enhanced imaging for detecting early breast cancer lesions and for measuring results of chemotherapy and surgery in breast cancer patients. She also explores this type of advanced imaging to better evaluate the extent of prostate cancer in patents. A dedicated educator to medical students, residents and fellows, Dr. Kulkani recently won two awards for teaching excellence at the University of Chicago Medicine.
