Louise Sclafani, OD, is a highly respected optometrist. She provides expert care for patients who have corneal disease or eye trauma. Her areas of focus include contact lenses, keratoconus, bifocal and challenging contact lens fits, and laser vision correction consultation. She has earned the status of Diplomate in Cornea, Contact Lens and Refractive Technology by the American Academy of Optometry.

Dr. Sclafani is an active researcher and educator. She serves as a teacher and mentor to ophthalmology residents, optometry externs and medical students at the University of Chicago. Dr. Sclafani accepts numerous invitations to speak at conferences and seminars around the country. She has received several awards and honors for demonstrating exceptional clinical expertise and teaching skills. Dr. Sclafani has also been appointed to positions of leadership in several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Optometry, the American Optometric Association and the Illinois Optometric Association. Additionally, she has served as a consultant for the Chicago Blackhawks.
