Dr. Mary Strek specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary diseases, with a special focus on asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disorders (COPD) and interstitial lung disease--especially those related to connective tissue disorders.

Her clinical research focuses on developing new medications for the treatment of asthma, COPD, bronchiectasis, pulmonary fibrosis, and other pulmonary diseases. Dr. Strek's goal is to provide improved treatment for patients with pulmonary diseases.

A respected lecturer, Dr. Strek has spoken at conferences around the country. She is a reviewer for the American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine and the European Respiratory Journal.
