Dr. Mary Strek specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of complex pulmonary diseases, with a focus on bronchiectasis, interstitial lung disease and pulmonary complications of connective tissue disorders.

She directs a clinical research program that seeks to study and better understand the natural history of new medications for patients with asthma, COPD, bronchiectasis, and pulmonary fibrosis. Dr. Strek's goal is to provide improved treatment for patients with pulmonary diseases.

A respected lecturer, Dr. Strek has spoken at conferences around the country. She is an associate editor of the American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine, and sits on the editorial boards of Chest and the Proceedings of the American Thoracic Society.
