Miriam I. Redleaf, MDAssistant Professor of SurgeryDr. Miriam Redleaf is a fellowship-trained neuro-otologist, and has concentrated primarily on medical and surgical problems of the ear and skull base since 1991. With this experience and focus, Dr. Redleaf provides quick and precise diagnoses and treatments. Her areas of expertise include:
Dr. Redleaf performs surgical resections--often in coordination with neurological surgery. She also diagnoses and treats diseases and tumors affecting the facial nerve--both medically and surgically. She works extensively with hearing impairment. Dr. Redleaf instituted our cochlear implant program--an interdisciplinary team that treats both adults and children. In addition, our otolaryngology/head and neck surgery section places bone anchored hearing aids and middle ear implants. Dr. Redleaf has years of experience with otosclerosis, chronic ear/mastoid disease, and malformations of the ear. In addition to her clinical work, she teaches at the medical school level, as well as to the otolaryngology and neurological surgery residents-in-training.
