Jones Professor of SurgeryChief, Section of General SurgeryChief, Surgical OncologyDr. Mitchell Posner is a nationally and internationally recognized expert in the management of cancers of the esophagus, pancreas, stomach, liver, colon and rectum. His oncology research includes designing and guiding significant clinical trials in gastrointestinal cancers--including pancreatic, esophageal, colorectal and rectal cancers, as well as hepatic metastases. Dr. Posner is also studying molecular genetic events and viral gene therapy to develop innovative treatment approaches for esophageal and pancreatic cancer.
