Nadera Sweiss, MDAssistant Professor of MedicineDr. Nadera Sweiss is a specialist in rheumatology--the study of chronic and acute conditions that cause inflammation, discomfort and pain in muscles, joints, supporting tissues and various organs. Dr. Sweiss has a particular interest in the treatment of patients with sarcoidosis, a rare disease characterized by a build-up of immune system lesions in any organ of the body--most often in the lungs and lymph nodes. Dr. Sweiss is conducting clinical research on new therapies for sarcoidosis, scleroderma and Raynaud's phenomenon--particularly for treatment when these disorders do not respond to traditional therapies.
