Samir D. Undevia, MDClinical Associate of MedicineDirector, Sarcoma ProgramDr. Samir Undevia treats bone and soft tissue sarcomas as well as advanced and metastatic tumors of all types for which conventional chemotherapy has failed or stopped working. As director of the sarcoma program, he is a member of a comprehensive cancer team that is dedicated to the study, diagnosis, and treatment of bone and soft tissue sarcomas. This team includes surgical oncologists, orthopaedic oncologists, pathologists, radiologists, and radiation oncologists. He and the rest of the team are involved in developing new therapies for the treatment of sarcomas. Dr. Undevia’s research interests include the development of new drug therapies for all cancer types and specifically for sarcomas. In addition to treating patients with conventional chemotherapies, he specializes in the use of experimental drugs when standard treatments have failed.
