Associate Professor of Pediatrics

Sarah Rodriguez, MD, MPH, provides comprehensive, compassionate care to children with decreased vision in one or both eyes. She also specializes in adjustable sutures for adult strabismus/realignment surgery.

Dr. Rodriguez is not only passionate about delivering high-quality care to her patients, but she is also actively involved in clinical research. She received the prestigious Knights Templar Eye Foundation Career-Starter Grant to study neurodevelopmental outcomes among infants screened for ROP, and she is the principle investigator for the involvement in the Pediatric Eye Disease Investigator Group (PEDIG). Dr. Rodriguez's research has been published in a number of scientific journals, including Ophthalmology, Pediatrics and the Journal of the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus.

Having completed several medical mission trips to Ghana and Nicaragua, Dr. Rodriguez also has an interest in health disparities and global health. She participated in retinopathy of prematurity workshops in Vietnam and South Africa, and she is a committee member for a program dedicated to preventing the next anticipated wave of ROP in Sub-Saharan Africa called Stop Infant Blindness in Africa (SIBA).

Why does this provider not have a star rating?

Our goal is to provide our patients and visitors with correct and useful information. We only post provider satisfaction information from clinic surveys when they are returned from patients.

This provider has not had surveys returned that meet the necessary sample size

About Our Star Ratings and Comments:

Randomly selected patients are sent patient satisfaction surveys after their visits. We get thousands of survey responses each year. The responses are used to improve patient experience and recognize staff members for the care they provide. Patient survey responses are also used to make star ratings for each provider.

For the star ratings and comments, all feedback on the provider web page is posted as it was given from patients. Comments that do not apply, risk patient privacy, or are not appropriate are not posted. Star ratings and comments come from a number of survey questions. A star rating is not given if a provider only has a small number of survey responses.
