Smruti R. Mohanty, MD, is a highly regarded specialist in the treatment of liver disease. He has expertise treating a wide range of liver conditions, such as chronic viral hepatitis B and C, cirrhosis, liver cancer, fatty liver disease, hemochromatosis and HIV/chronic viral hepatitis co-infection. He also evaluates and cares for patients who are candidates for liver transplantation.

Dr. Mohanty's research focuses on clinical presentation and treatment of hepatitis B and C and liver cancer. He also has a special interest in the study of racial and ethnic differences in chronic liver diseases.
