Stacy A. Kahn, MDAssistant Professor of PediatricsStacy A. Kahn, MD, specializes in the evaluation and treatment of digestive diseases in children. She has a particular interest in inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) including Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, as well as celiac disease. Dr. Kahn’s research focuses on new treatments for Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. Specifically she is studying microbiome-based therapies for inflammatory bowel disease, as well as the important ethical issues associated with this innovative treatment. Her other research interests include the underlying causes of IBD, novel diagnostic tools in IBD, and clinical and research ethics. Dr. Kahn has authored several publications in peer-reviewed medical journals and book chapters on pediatric gastroenterology, the role of the microbiome in IBD, and microbiome-based therapies for IBD. In addition she reviews manuscripts for several medical journals, including Journal of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition, Digestive Diseases and Science, Alimentary Pharmacology & Therapeutics, Pediatrics International, and International Journal of Pediatrics.
