Stephan Wyers, MD

Assistant Professor of Surgery

General surgeon Stephan Wyers, MD, is a skilled specialist in hepatobiliary/pancreatic surgery. Dr. Wyers focuses on the surgical treatment of gallstones, abdominal wall hernias, and complications of pancreatitis. Whenever possible, he uses minimally invasive surgical techniques, which generally are known to reduce the amount of pain, recovery time, and length of hospital stay associated with traditional surgeries.

In 2009, Dr. Wyers won the Department of Surgery Robert Baker Golden Apple Award for Excellence in Teaching.
