Stuart Rich, MD

Clinical Professor of Medicine

Dr. Stuart Rich is one of the country’s foremost experts on pulmonary heart disease and the spectrum of pulmonary hypertension. His pioneering research has led to a greater understanding of all types of pulmonary hypertension. Over the years, he also has led the development of many new treatments for pulmonary hypertension, including the use of intravenous prostacyclin for the condition.

Dr. Rich has been listed among the country’s best doctors by Castle Connolly Ltd. and Chicago magazine. He has published hundreds of clinical articles and book chapters on pulmonary heart disease. In addition, he is currently the president of the Pulmonary Vascular Research Institute.
