Susan S. Kim, MDAssistant Professor of MedicineCardiac electrophysiologist Susan S. Kim, MD, specializes in the treatment of heart rhythm disorders (arrhythmias). Dr. Kim is highly skilled in diagnosing and treating a wide range of heart rhythm problems, such as atrial fibrillation, supraventricular tachycardia and irregular heart rhythms associated with congestive heart failure. Her clinical interests include radiofrequency catheter ablation, pacemaker and defibrillator therapy, and cardiac resynchronization therapy for heart failure. Dr. Kim is closely involved in a number of cardiac research studies looking at new techniques and devices for treating arrhythmias. Before becoming a cardiologist, Dr. Kim was a junior high school math teacher through Teach for America.
