He uses both conventional and new, investigational methods to treat patients with complex conditions. His research investigates clinical outcomes of orthopaedic oncology treatments, including limb reconstructive techniques. Dr. Peabody serves as a mentor and teacher to medical students, residents, and fellows in clinical and lecture settings. He is a reviewer for a number of orthopaedic medical journals, and is a member of the Board of Consulting Editors for Research for the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery. Dr. Peabody has also served as a guest editor for Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research, Orthopaedic Clinics of North America, and Current Concepts in Orthopaedics. He currently serves as president of the North American Musculoskeletal Tumor Society and chair of the Academic Leadership Committee for the American Orthopaedic Association. Dr. Peabody has authored or co-authored more than 30 peer-reviewed journal articles and 20 book chapters or review articles--all focused on the surgical treatment of bone and soft-tissue tumors.
