Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Program: Applicant Information

Orthopaedic Surgery residents

The University of Chicago Orthopaedic Residency Program only accepts applications through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). All five of our first year positions are filled through the NRMP Match.

Application Requirements

In order for your application to be considered complete and eligible for review we require the following documents:

  • Personal statement
  • Medical school transcript
  • USMLE transcripts
  • Three letters of recommendation

Interview Information

Our application deadline for the 2014-2015 year is 2 p.m. CST, Friday, October 10, 2014.

We hold our interviews the first Friday and Saturday in December each year. In 2014, interviews will be held on Friday, December 5 and Saturday, December 6.

Our interview day typically runs from 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM and consists of interviews with residents and faculty, tours, lunch, an information session, and an end of the day cocktail reception. If you are selected for an interview, more details regarding the interview day will be sent at that time.
