Admissions, Referrals, and Consultations: Here's how physicians and other medical professionals can:

University of Chicago Aeromedical Network (UCAN): UCAN is the air medical service of the University of Chicago Medical Center. UCAN provides helicopter transport of critically ill or injured neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients from the scene of an emergency or during interhospital transfer to the Medical Center. Clinical Trials: You can receive up-to-date information on clinical trials offered by University of Chicago physicians, as well as information on laboratory services, and home care. Call 1-800-UCH-2282 to be connected to the appropriate department.
Continuing Medical Education: At the University of Chicago, our physicians are excited about sharing the latest clinical and research findings with you through continuing medical education (CME).
Throughout the year, our physicians conduct CME courses conveniently scheduled at hotels along the Magnificent Mile in Chicago, in the surrounding suburbs, at the University of Chicago Medical Center, and at resort locations. You can learn about the most recent clinical advances happening here and in other leading centers around the world. The courses highlight innovative procedures and technologies, examine current controversies in treatment, and update you on the latest advances in the understanding and treatment of disease.
Graduate Medical Education: The University of Chicago Medical Center offer residency and fellowship programs in more than 30 clinical departments. Learn more about available opportunities, program benefits, and application requirements.
Grand Rounds: Open to any physician who wants to attend, Grand Rounds are held weekly in most departments. Cases are presented by University of Chicago faculty or by prominent visiting physicians.
Managed Care: The University of Chicago Medical Center has developed relationships with many managed care organizations and is committed to delivering high-quality, cost-effective services to enrollees. Medicine on the Midway: Medicine on the Midway is a publication for alumni, faculty, students and friends of the University of Chicago Biological Sciences Division and Pritzker School of Medicine.
