Our Gastrointestinal Interventional Endoscopy Team
University of Chicago gastrointestinal interventional endoscopy physicians are key members of the Section of Gastroenterology. Our team also plays a critical role in our internationally recognized cancer program. U.S.News and World Report ranks both our gastroenterology and cancer programs among the best in the United States.
An integral part of our team are specialized nurses and technicians who have years of experience working in this field. They are directly involved with the success of every case and have helped educate other teams of endoscopy nurses from around the region. Our anesthesia department services are readily available and are among the finest in the region as well.
Our endoscopists work closely with physicians from a wide variety of specialties, including medical oncology, surgical oncology, radiation oncology, radiology, genetics, and other areas.
