The Department of Colon and Rectal Surgery includes some of the most experienced IBD surgeons in the world; they are trained to treat patients with complex or refractory inflammatory bowel disease. In addition we are one of the few medical centers in the nation who routinely offer patients a minimally invasive or laparoscopic surgical approach for Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, even if a patient has had a traditional open surgery in the past.
