Ventricular Reconstruction & Quadruple Bypass Surgery: Julia's Story

After having a heart attack, Julia experienced a lot of fatigue and was missing out on enjoying the life she had before the heart attack. Angioplasty procedures provided only temporary relief, so she sought help for a more permanent solution to her heart failure.

Julia's cardiologist referred her to the University of Chicago Medical Center to have a ventricular reconstruction procedure and bypass surgery. Ventricular reconstruction is a procedure that restores the conical shape of the heart after a heart attack. Since the procedure, Julia has much more energy.
