Heart Valve Disease

The University of Chicago Medicine has a wide range of treatment options for heart valve disease. Our cardiologists and cardiac surgeons are experts in the diagnosis and treatment of valvular heart disease, and offer the latest medical therapies, nonsurgical procedures and surgical solutions, including minimally invasive surgery to repair or replace heart valves.

Transcather aortic-valve implantation (TAVI)

We welcome patients with any type of heart valve problem. Many of our patients are considered high risk, including people who have had several prior heart procedures, those with co-existing medical conditions, elderly and overweight individuals, and people who have been turned down for heart valve care at other hospitals.
