General Obstetrics and Gynecology
Physicians of the Section of General Obstetrics and Gynecology provide community-based obstetric, gynecologic, and primary health care to women at several convenient locations in Chicago. They manage women's care during normal pregnancies and counsel their patients on family planning/contraception. They treat gynecologic conditions including:
- Endometriosis
- Pelvic organ prolapse
- Pelvic and vulvar pain
- Sexually-transmitted diseases
- Symptoms of menopause.
- Urinary incontinence
- Uterine fibroids
These physicians perform colposcopies and gynecologic surgeries including laparoscopy and endoscopy. Some specialize in the gynecologic care of adolescents.
