Ultrasound
Physicians in the Section of Ultrasound use state-of-the art technology for routine and advanced pre-birth diagnostic and interventional procedures in normal and high-risk obstetric patients. In addition, they perform screening, diagnostic, and interventional ultrasound for general gynecology, oncology, and reproductive endocrinology patients. The physicians are board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology, and some have additional sub-specializations in high-risk obstetrics or advanced ultrasound. Exams are performed by specially-trained sonographers (technologists) who are board-certified or board-eligible as registered diagnostic medical sonographers (RDMS).
The Section of Ultrasound is accredited by the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine to perform gynecologic and obstetric ultrasounds.
