Angiography & Interventional Radiology

The Section of Angiography and Interventional Radiology provides a complete range of both vascular and non-vascular interventional procedures.

The section has three angiographic suites. Conventional fluoroscopy and digital subtraction angiography are available.

In addition to routine angiography and venography, the following specialized procedures are performed:

  • Balloon angioplasty and placement of intravascular stents
  • Chemoembolization and placement of intra-arterial chemotherapy infusion catheters
  • Embolization of vascular malformation, tumor, or actively bleeding vessels
  • TIPS procedure
  • Ureteral/biliary dilatation and stenting

We perform the majority of central venous access cases including chest ports, and have vast experience in the management of hemodialysis access.

CT and ultrasound-assisted procedures--such as abscess drainages--also are performed by this section.
