Neuroradiology

All radiological imaging procedures of the central nervous system are performed by the Section of Neuroradiology. All types of CT examinations of the head, neck, and spine, as well as three-dimensional CT studies, are scheduled and performed routinely. MRI examinations are available for evaluating the entire central nervous system and incorporate three-dimensional images of the brain.

Special procedures include all types of myelograms, spinal cord angiograms, arteriograms, and cerebral angiograms including selective and super-selective arteriography of the internal and external carotid arteries. Interventional neuroradiological procedures include coil and balloon embolizations of the tumors AVM and AVF, as well as aneurysms.
