Nuclear Medicine
The Department of Radiology pioneered the development of clinical nuclear medicine. The Section of Nuclear Medicine is completely equipped and has expertise in cardiac screening studies in susceptible asymptomatic subjects with high risk factors for coronary artery disease and for evaluating the need for interventional treatment in patients with known coronary artery disease. New molecular medicine tests are available for managing patients with cancers of the colon, ovary, or prostate.
