Where’s the best parking?
We encourage patients and visitors to use our valet parking service. It’s convenient and usually less expensive than self-parking.
Where
Valet parking is available in front of the Bernard A. Mitchell Adult Hospital, at the main entrance to Comer Children’s Hospital and the Duchoissois Center for Advanced Medicine (DCAM).

Cost
Discounted parking is available to University of Chicago patients and visitors. To be eligible for the discount rates, simply have a “Patient and Family” validation placed on your parking ticket at the clinic, admissions office, or DCAM first floor security desk.
Valet parking -- patient/family discounted rates with validation
Under 6 hours: $10
6 hours to 24 hours: $16
Valet parking -- patient/family rates with coupon book
Patients and families can get additional discounts by purchasing a coupon book. The cost of each coupon is $5, purchased in books of 5 ($25) or 10 ($50).
Less than 3 hours: 1 coupon
3 hours to 24 hours: 2 coupons
Coupon books can be purchased at the Parking Office (5851 S. Maryland Ave., M-F, 7 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.) or from the valet cashier on the first floor of the DCAM (M-F 8 a.m. – 8 p.m., Sat. 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.)

When
Valet service is available beginning at:
5:30 a.m. at Bernard A. Mitchell Adult Hospital
6 a.m. at DCAM
6 a.m. at Comer Children’s Hospital
Valet parking attendants stop taking cars at 6 p.m. but remain until 9 p.m. to retrieve them. All valet-parked cars remaining after 9 p.m. are brought to the first floor of the self- parking lot (across from Mitchell Hospital) near the cashier booth. The cashier will assist visitors with claiming their car after 9 p.m.
