Patient Satisfaction

Yasmin Hasan and patient

The University of Chicago Medicine strives to provide excellent clinical care in a comfortable, safe environment in which patients and their families are treated with dignity and respect.

One of the ways we measure success is by tracking our patients’ satisfaction with their experiences at our hospital. We ask our patients to rate the overall care received at the University of Chicago Medicine on a scale ranging from very poor to very good.

For the first quarter of 2012, 90.7 percent of adult inpatients told us the care they received was either good or very good.

For the same time period, 92.8 percent of families of pediatric inpatients told us the care they received at Comer Children's Hospital was either good or very good.
